Camembert in phylo pastry

Starters

Ingredients

  • 1 Camembert cheese
  • 3 ½ sheets phyllo pastry
  • 60 ml melted butter
  • Cranberry jelly
 

Method

 
  1. To make the parcels, cut the 3 ½-sheets of pastry into 4 equal sqares; brush with melted butter.
  2. Cut the camembert into 4 quarters.
  3. Place each cheese quarter into the centre of one set of pastry squares, add half a teaspoon of cranberry jelly and draw the corners of the pastry towards the middle of the cheese. Bunch together.
  4. Brush with butter and bake at 200°C for 15 min, until golden brown.
  5. Serve immediately

Tie a long piece of chive around the top and serve with cranberry jelly or Chilli and Cranberry Sauce.
