Choc-chip Cookies

Cookies

Ingredients

 
  • 300 g flour
  • 5 ml baking powder
  • 250 g butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 ml salt
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 165 g castor sugar
  • 225 g brown sugar
  • 250 g chocolate chips
  • 125 g pecan nuts
 

Method

 
  1. Melt the butter, remove from the heat and add the two sugars and the salt.
  2. Mix in the beaten eggs and vanilla, then stir in the flour and the baking powder.
  3. Allow to cool and stir in the chocolate chips and pecan nuts.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours.
  5. Shape round pieces of dough and place on silicon paper, at least 3 inches apart.
  6. Bake at 180°C for 9-11 minutes.
  7. Cool on tray.
 

Makes approximately 80 cookies
