"Mieliepap"
with Sweetcorn Kernels

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (350 g) coarse mealie flour (Braaipap)
  • 2 cups (1 tin = 410g) sweetcorn kernels
  • 4 cups (600 ml) water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 30 ml butter or oil

Method

  • Add salt and butter to water and bring to boil.
  • Add flour while stirring vigorously with a whisk.
  • Add sweetcorn kernels, mix well.
  • Cook on low heat (preferably inside the oven @ 150°C) for approximately 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
     

Serves 8.


Serve with "braaied" meat.
