Bread with Blue Cheese and Mushrooms 

Breads

Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 10 ml salt
  • 10 g instant yeast
  • 5 ml sugar
  • 45 ml olive oil
  • 300 - 350 ml like warm water
  • 250 g button mushrooms
  • 2 cloves of garlic (optional)
  • 15 ml olive oil or butter
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 125 g blue-veined cheese

Method

  1. Sieve flour and salt.
  2. Mix sugar with instant yeast, add to flour and mix well.
  3. Add water, then olive oil and knead until dough is soft and smooth.
  4. Stand in a warm place until doubled in size.
  5. In the meantime fry the mushrooms in oil or butter. Add the garlic halfway through.
  6. Cut the cheese into 1 cm cubes.
  7. Once the dough has doubled in volume, knead well again, then add the mushroom and cheese cubes and form it into a loaf.
  8. Bake at 220°C for 10 minutes, then turn the heat down to 190°C and bake for another 20 - 30 minutes.
  9. Cool.
     

Makes 1 loaf.
